What Residents Say About Preserve at Mill Creek

I moved into the area two years ago without knowing a thing about the communities in the area. I was guided towards Preserve at Mill Creek by coworkers as a quiet, friendly, and inexpensive place to settle into. Two years later, I've found that to be the case. Positives: - It's a quick drive to whatever you need: Publix, Costco, Mall of Georgia, restaurants, shops, G-Braves, all within a five minute drive. And I-85 is less than two minutes, and one right turn away from the complex. - Despite being close to those, it is nestled into a quiet location with barely any traffic. During the day, it's quiet here and at night, even quieter. - The nature trail that runs next to the facility is a great way to exercise, take the dogs for a walk, or show off to friends. There's also a nice barbecue station right on the trail, overlooking the creek. - Facilities are nicely maintained: large pool, gym, office - Workers at the lodge are friendly and responsive. They like to hold parties for the complex every month or so. Negatives: - My biggest issue is with the walls; even though it's quiet outside, it's pretty loud inside. I hear thumping, yelling, laughing, and things dropping every night from the neighbors upstairs. And through the outdoor patio, I can hear distinct conversations from upstairs and downstairs neighbors. - Kitchen space could be better. I don't have much counter space to prepare meals. Also the dishwasher is on the old side and I rarely have a perfect wash with no dirty plates or utensils. - Cable and internet options are a joke. The place is serviced by DirecTV, but the internet is from DirecPath, an offshoot of DirecTV. And they don't work together either, so that means no bundling to save money. DirecTV's service is notoriously bad, but DirecPath is even worse. I pay for the top service available, 20 Mbps, but sometimes I get barely half that since the whole community shares bandwidth. They've thankfully fixed it in the last year so when 6:00 rolls around and everyone comes home from work the internet doesn't slow to a halt (I used to be lucky to get more than 1 Mbps at that time), but it took them a long time to get to this point - I'm sure everybody complained enough to the point they decided to expand our bandwidth. All-in-all, I like the location of the place and the facilities enough to recommend the Preserve to anybody who's stopping though.

Perfect apartments in the woods. Going home to relax but walking distance to movies, best restaurant and entertainment. Safe to walk around with a hidden trasure and 8 mile trail sgere you can jog, walk, rock clime or relax.
